In Person Support

Our in person support takes a neurodiversity affirming, child led approach, focusing on your child’s strengths and interests.  During our time together we’ll work with your child, using a combination of observations, play, and teaching activities to help them learn and develop new skills.

Throughout the session, you’ll get feedback related to the observations and activities, so you know not just what we’re doing but why. You’ll also get the chance to try out the activities yourself, with me coaching you through them.  There will always plenty of time for you to ask questions too, ensuring by the time the session ends you are confident about your next steps.

And, as we know there can be a lot to take in during this time we always provide a detailed written summary of the session with clear action points.

Our in person family support can take place at home or your choice of location. They are usually delivered on a fortnightly to monthly basis to ensure you aren’t overwhelmed with information and have plenty of time to put things into practice. Sessions typically last 1.5 hour, although some families do choose to have longer or shorter sessions.

Parent Coaching Calls

The parent coaching call element of our 1:1 family support is designed to give you a safe space to openly discuss your personal experience of parenting an autistic child.

Typically, We’ll look at what working well and what’s not and come together to plan approaches and strategies to ensure your child’s success.

We’ll also take some time to make sure you’ve got things in place to help you maintain a positive mindset, because as much as you love your child, parenting can be tough.

However, these conversations are led by you and your family’s needs and you can talk about and ask anything you want.

These calls take place via zoom and a recording is shared with you afterwards allowing you to revisit and reflect upon our discussion.

The Online Portal

The online portal is the final part of the puzzle.  Pulling all the information from the in person support and parent coaching calls together in one place and ensuring you have support in between sessions.

Inside the portal there are individual sections for each of our focus areas. Here you’ll find all the details related to the suggested strategies and activities, along with any e-resources and links.

You can also upload videos, photos and comments related to our focus areas and we’ll respond with feedback and encouragement meaning you don’t need to wait till your next session for support.

Our 1:1 support for Autistic Children and their Families starts at £180/month. If you’d like to know more please book a call.

Hi, I'm Tasha.

Founder and owner of DreamBox Education.

I’m  a  neurodiversity affirming SEN teacher and  family coach.

I believe that everyone has a right to achieve their potential and  to live life in all it’s fullness no matter what!

After spending 10 years as a classroom teacher, in both mainstream and special school, I realised to see autistic children thriving and not just surviving there needed to be help for their whole support network.

Most importantly, you, their parents.

Because there  is no one that will be there for a child more than a parent.

So in December 2015 I stepped out of the classroom and into family homes as I  launched DreamBox Education and boy what a fantastic journey it’s been.

It’s an honour to journey alongside each family. To see the children’s achievements, from saying their first word to passing exams. To witness parents growing in confidence as they raise and advocate for their children. But most importantly to see them not just surviving but thriving.
